.
Our starting fee for a consumer unit upgrade is £850. This is for a 6 circuit metal fire sealed RCBO & SPD unit.
At a minimum we will only install RCBO consumer units. In short, any faults on a given circuit will only trip that fuse leaving all other circuits fully operational.
This is better for both customer and future electricians for fast identification of faulty ciruits saving time & money.
All upgrades include full testing & inspection of installation.
Works notified & local building control certification also issued.
All upgrades include the installing of an SPD device, which is a must on all new install work due to the growing number of senstive electrical equipment we use.
SPD - A Surge Protection Device will protect all electronic equipment (TVs, gaming consoles, computers etc) connected to the electrical installation from power surges & overvoltages.
RCBO fuses will trip when detecting a fault. Only this circuit will trip, keeping all other circuits operational.
AFDD fuses detects loose wiring on circuit & have RCBO features built in.
